Just a quick update regarding the changes made by the backup team for a database with temp files. Initially, the backup process would spend time scanning these temp files, which don’t exist after processing due to their nature. During the investigation of the long-running backup issue (a separate matter), the backup vendor suggested a fix:
- Adjustments have been made to optimize the backup process and prevent unnecessary scans of temp files.
I’ve updated the Confluence document with these details, and after discussing with the backup team, we've confirmed that this serves as a reference for any future databases with temp files that require similar changes.
Note: The warning messages during the backup still persist, but the process itself should now be more efficient.
